There have been at least a hundred earthquakes, many of them greater than 3.0, down near Brawley, CA, which is near the Mexican border in what's known as the Imperial Valley. Since this is still 125 miles or so from where we're located, we haven't felt any of them, but this is definitely what they call a 'swarm' and it's directly near the South end of the San Andreas Fault.
Check out the map below and the list of quakes noting the number that have occurred in the last 24 hours alone.

And there's another swarm up North, near Hawthorne, NV, which is just over the border from California. Now these are much further away and a good distance away from the San Andreas Fault as well, but this is more of a volcaniclly active area.
Not as many quakes on the list below, but if you look further down the list you'll see that there have been some larger quakes in the past week, some 4.0's and even a couple of 5.7's.

Anyway, it's something that we're keeping our eyes on (I have an app on my iPhone they reports any and all quakes in California that are 3.0 or higher and it's been beeping all day today).
