Donald Trump is, once again, taking credit for jobs he had no part in creating
Trump really, really wants you to think he's bringing jobs back to the country, even though it isn't true
for forward-looking measures, like the DJIA, but not for backward-looking measures like GDP and unemployment. Those belong to Obama until his term ends.
Trump's protection policies will likely have the same effects such policies usually have. Frightened US companies will bring jobs home and frightened foreign companies will take them away. The economy will lose some efficiency thereby.
