I understand Israel's problem. It sees its future as non-viable without increasing its scale and population.
I understand the Palestinian's problem. They had their country taken from them and the territory they have left is being taken one hilltop at a time.
It's the same problem. They don't print new land. There is no wild frontier to move into. But the two sides have different amounts of power. Mainly because the US maintains the inequality, in spite of itself. It's a shame Obama didn't do this earlier so that at least the Israelis are not empowered to creep forwards at the expense of the Palestinians. The US can support Israel's right to exist without supporting its ability to expand.
