Damn. I hoped they would catch him alive. They have lost his information.

But I am very glad he isn't on the loose any more. How do they manage to turn these young men into murderers?

Is it simply that the concept of the brotherhood of all mankind, of the value of individual piety independent of religion which is contemplated in the koran, is in conflict with the notion of the umma, the brotherhood of moslems?

It sounds to me as if submission to authority (in this case, the authority of a nasty interpretation of Islam) is taken for piety by some of these people.

The Tunisian man suspected in the attack at a Christmas market in Berlin has been fatally shot outside Milan, the police said
Friday, December 23, 2016 5:16 AM EST

Anis Amri, the chief suspect in the deadly terrorist attack on a Christmas market in Berlin earlier this week, was killed by the police in a shootout outside Milan early Friday morning, Italian officials said.

Law enforcement authorities across Europe have been hunting since Wednesday for Mr. Amri, a 24-year-old Tunisian who moved to Italy in 2011 and then relocated to Germany in 2015.
