How can you not be a racist if you support the WHITE Sox?
I think I am a racist. Or at least, I am inclined to divide the world based on loyalties and exclusivities. I think all people are because I think at some levels it's instinctive, and at others it's a form of triballism, which is quite natural. We just try our best not to be, or to divert the inclination down other pathways. Like when you pull on your team's football shirt and skin colour doesn't matter but the badge does. We humans are inclined to create loyalties and to apply them to exclusive groups. Probably a survival thing - like a group of blue-bottomed apes attacking a group of orange-haired apes. And not well suited to large societies wanting peace.
It seems like a form of human inheritance, like a troublesome bit of DNA, which pops out of a person's mouth if the conditions are right for it to do so. Skin colour is a pretty dumb way to express one's loyalty. Why not eye colour? Or country of birth? Or religion? Or stock ownership? Or some other random association? (ie they are mostly pretty dumb). And yet, we are who we are. And we try to control the things that can do damage.
To me, the problem of racism becomes more serious when someone or some group seeks to exploit it.
I very much dislike the politics of race as practised in the US. I don't like the Democratic party's race card any more than I like Trump's alt-right. The fact that 90%+ of black people vote Democrat is not healthy for either party.
