teecee - I was hoping someone would cipher' this out into some plain(er) English. IDCC paid Barclay's & Goldman 59.4 million for a 4.4 million share anti-dilution hedge. The warrant transaction - IDCC sold the right to counterparties to acquire 4.4 million shares at $88.46 and IDCC received 42.9 million. I still do not understand this transaction yet I agree. MO MONEY MO MONEY is good!!!
not only do we get the 72+ per share from the conversion which will cancel out the debt,,,we also get another approximately 9+ per share from the hedging transaction that accompanied the debt issue...idc has hedged out the conversion to an 81+ px...therefore with 316myn of debt canceled....and another 40+myn from the hedge [4.375myn shares x 9]...our net cash will increase by 356+ myn...which doesn't include the windfall from apple....mo money mo money mo money
