Arsenal could use a quicker left-side full back, who can develop a tighter playing relationship with the left-sided midfield/winger.

Right now Ozil-Sanchez and Walcott-Bellerin are strong partnerships. But Monreal isn't quite fast enough to get back if he is further forward and so he plays a conservative game, leaving Oxlade-Chamberlain and Iwobi slightly less supported than Walcott on the other side.

I guess a left-footed midfielder-winger would also be a good signing. But the squad is very strong at the moment, so there are not many positions that can be obviously improved, except by buying a superstar. And that isn't how Arsenal do things.

They get to play Bayern Munich or Barcelona pretty much every year in the Champions League once they emerge from their group. Bayern in 4 of the last 5 years. Barcelona in 3 of the last 8.

Most folks would want to play some lightweight outfit so they can progress further. But Arsenal gets to practice playing against one of the top teams every year and find out if it is worthy of the challenge.

And thus far, we have discovered it is not. Go Arsenal. Maybe one day we will make it to the next round. If we do, we will have earned it.
