When the fetus can live outside the mother's womb, then its afforded human rights.

Let me be clear, I believe the greatest accomplishments in my life were birthing my three children. I loved being pregnant & feeling life grow inside of me & the miracle of their births.

I don't take the act of abortion lightly, nor do I think it should be abused as a form of birth control.
That is my belief. I don't have the right to impose that on another woman, nor does the government. She has to live with her choice.

The father only has a role if the mother grants one, she is the carrier. Its her body housing & feeding the fetus & she has to be willing to nurture it till its ready to be born. He should had thought of that prior to engaging in sex, and used protection.

It enrages me that the burden seems to always fall on the woman. When my sons were getting to the age of having sex, I made it a habit to inform them it was THEIR responsibility to use protection, even if she said she was on the pill. I pointed out there are sexual diseases that they could have occur without protection & if they thought they were mature enough for that sort of relationship they needed to behave as such.

Parents have the option of opting out & home schooling. Rick Santorum took full advantage of this & received financial payment from the government. As assume others do.

At what point does a fetus become a human and afforded human rights?

Seems the criteria justifying the denial of life includes gray areas. I question anyone has the right to the role of prosecutor, judge and jury.

Does casual sex become rape if an unwanted pregnancy results?

What medical reasons are sufficient justification to end an innocent life? I accept everyone has a right to self defense if their life is in jeopardy, but that includes both lives.

Surely the father should have some role in the decision.

Is infanticide ok?

The moment the government provides public education the system becomes politicized. It is really systemic indoctrination. Children are taught what to think not how to think. If there is a government run system it should be administered at as low a level of government as is possible but should at a minimum include a voucher component that allows the ability to opt out of the public system.
