Decomposed> 4) With no software yet on the system, I am already hitting extraordinary delays. You know, the blue spinning circle, sometimes running for over a minute. This had better not be an ongoing problem.
5) I looked at my system configuration and it said I had a "CD/ROM." Uh, not a DVD? So I popped a DVD into the drive and it played. That's a relief. But the sound didn't play! The problem isn't with the laptop speakers since I am getting bells every now and then, but nothing from the movie.
De,
Problem 4 is one of the BIG reasons I finally scrapped
Windows 10. The pig is constantly updating itself.
The last straw was when it told me it HAD to shut down
and restart regardless of what I was doing.
Problem 5. Somewhere in there there is an audio
control panel . . . on mine it was set to headphones
instead of the speaker jack. Once I got that set right
my sound worked OK.
Another problem I had. I have a wireless WiFi box
and a USB type dingus plugged into a slot for my
internet access. Under Windows 7 it has been solid
as a rock . . . under Windows 10 it seemed to come
and go at random intervals. (Trying to access a news
article from yahoo was one of its preferred times to
stop working.)
Not to mention that to get the old games that I loved
from previous versions (of windows) to work I had to find a special
piece of software which reinstalled them . . . Then
microsnot did an update which wiped them out again.
