I am curious what his approach to Carrier would have been.
I agree executives for large corporations are vastly over compensated but that should be addressed separately and privately by shareholders.
It is good the company achieved a profit last year but the stock price apparently "inflated" from $115 to $96 in 2015. I am uncertain how it spent $12 Billion to inflate the stock price but I didn't do a lot of research on the issue.
Apparently the company did around $56 billion in revenue and the market cap is around $100 Billion. It pays around a 2.5% dividend.
Here is Bernie Sanders' "private sector" experience for what its worth.(from Wikipedia)
Professional history
After graduating from college, Sanders returned to New York City, where he initially worked at a variety of jobs, including Head Start teacher, psychiatric aide, and carpenter.[34] In 1968, Sanders moved to Vermont because he had been "captivated by rural life." After his arrival there he worked as a carpenter,[36] filmmaker, and writer[49] who created and sold "radical film strips" and other educational materials to schools.[50] He also wrote several articles for the alternative publication The Vermont Freeman.[51]
