...when I had my .357 I used a 158 grain jacketed hollow point. It left the barrel at 1350 feet per second. That's about 920 mph. Unless ya shoot somebody while they are laying on the ground or standing up beside a tree the cops will never find the projectile.

well, yeah, that's a good point I suppose although a found spent round can be looked at under microscope for markings that can only come from that pistol..
