On the radio just now I heard that in some of the states where photo-ID's are needed to vote, that people with expired drivers licenses are being told that they can't vote. Now the TSA allows you to fly using an expired drivers license as photo-ID but these Republican-controlled states are suddenly saying that's not good enough. Many older Americans who have stopped driving have kept their expired driver's licenses so that they would have a photo-ID for things like flying and they thought so that they could vote.

Also it was reported that on a college campus up in Hew England that for the last couple of days someone was posting flyers which stated that even if a student was a state resident, that before they would be allowed to vote that they would need to have their drivers license updated to show their campus address and if they own a car, that the registration needed to be updated as well, and if they didn't get this taken care of before they went to the polls that they would not be allowed to vote, so don't even waste your time showing up. Of course this is all a lie and these official-looking flyers are a total sham and has no basis in law.

Also it seems that the lines of people waiting to vote in Ohio, particularly in larger cities like Cleveland and Cincinnati, are starting to get long as it appears that the number of voting machines have once again been reduced, ostensibly to save taxpayer money.
