...republicans did nothing to keep em from voting. They lost that right when they committed felonies. Free and open elections precludes criminals voting. It should also preclude them from running for office, but then there would be no democrat party.

I assume that they weren't Republicans since the state legislature did everything that they could do to stop these people from voting. How is that NOT interfering with an election? These are the sorts of things that are the biggest risk to free and open elections in this country.
