...all the defendants have to do is demonstrate that there was no malicious intent. They don't need to prove that the stories told to them were true. Also, the newspaper(s) would be allowed to pursue 'discovery' where they would have the right to demand documents related to his past sexual behavior. They could also depose anyone who might have information about Trump's past behavior as it relates to women whom he's had dealings with. With that in mind, I suspect that there will be NO lawsuit(s) filed now or later. Trump does NOT want this to be adjudicated in a court of law where there would be legal consequences for perjury.
