And to keep the money flowing, Trump is reaching out.
My wife is still registered as a Republican (it's a long story that goes back to when her father ran for state legislature) but hasn't voted for a Republican presidential candidate since H. W. Bush and then only the first time around.
Anyway, she got a letter from the Trump campaign yesterday asking for money. The minimum requested was $1,000 and it went up from there. And the accompanying letter was full of the usual crap; cutting taxes, stopping immigration, throwing out the illegals, shutting down Obamacare, protecting the 2nd Amendment, cutting government programs, repealing down environmental laws, building up the military, canceling trade agreements, etc.
Note that yesterday I also got something similar from the Hillary campaign, only their minimum contribution started at $20. And another thing, the Trump people must be desperate to get their money as quickly as possible since they included a prepaid PRIORITY MAIL return envelope for that big check, while Hillary's campaign only supplied the normal prepaid #10 business envelope. Also note that the Trump campaign was guaranteeing to pay the PRIORITY MAIL postage even if the letter was returned from overseas, which indicates that they're spreading the nets pretty wide looking for those $1,000 and up contributions.

The GOP nominee also increased his private security forces by a factor of 10.
