The more that comes out about this suspect, Ahmad Khan Rahami, the more it appears to not necessarily be part of some ISIS plot. First off, the bombs were crude (the first one was basically a dud), he used old cell phones which still had personal data on it (I guess he assumed that it would be destroyed and so he didn't care, he just used what he had at hand). And then he's captured while sleeping in the doorway of a BAR (perhaps he's not a very devout Muslim, if he's even Muslim to start with). Also this might all come down to something in response to a long term issue that his family has had with local neighbors complaining about the late hours that their chicken restaurant was opened and the noise that it and it's patrons caused.
