Furthermore, if you are doing it over unsecured wifi, you're fked. Any hotel wifi or public wifi, even with a password is UNSECURED. The only secure wifi is the one at home whose password you only know, and it must be WPA and 13 digits or more to make sure, otherwise it can be hacked in 30 secs or less.
That's called a VPN and has nothing to do with what we're talking ab out. It is used to access FILES and computers REMOTELY. and those computers still have an IP address and are on the internet. The only thing that can't happen in this situation is getting information from that communication, as it is a secure communication channel, but the servers can be hacked at ANY TIME!
