Trump Down 13% for GOP Women Since RNC
Donald Trump’s support among female Republican voters has experienced a 13-percent decline since the conclusion of both the Republican and Democratic National Conventions, according to a new CBS/New York Times national poll. In late July, the poll reported, 72 percent of GOP women said they support Trump. While that number represents a substantial majority, the Times noted that the three previous Republican presidential nominees fared much better with GOP women at the same point in the election season: in late July 2012, Romney had 93-percent support; in 2008, McCain garnered 89 percent; and in 2004, George W. Bush had 93 percent.
