Except for sensitive buildings and tourist areas in Paris and in the Alps during the Tour de France, I saw no cops and no police vehicles. The surprise was at the border towns around Geneva where there were open borders. You went from France to Switzerland by going through an empty toll like booth, and at the Geneva airport which also has a French side, entering from the Swiss side there were two gendarmes with weapons in holster, and bulletproof vests just looking at the passengers in vehicles going through, but not stopping anyone. I guess they know what to look for. Flying from here to Athens, only the ticket agent asked for passports, no one else. In Athens we took our bags and walked out. No one even at the exit. No passport control, nothing.

There were all kinds of veiled women and Muslims flying to destinations with middle eastern airlnes, at Geneva airport. Not a cop in plain sight.

In Greece, i did not see a cop out in the country, for days now.

I call that freedom. That freedom does not exist in the US, ANYWHERE. Cops are everywhere. Highways are littered with tcketing assholes, to line the pockets of the local, corrupt towns. "Coping" is a business in the US. In Europe it is a service.

Experiencing that freedom is ...liberating. And no one carries, except for open bottles of whatever one wants to enjoy drinking.

Just food for thought.

F Trump.
