Zimbler: re: "I take it there is no city water, sewer, natural gas, electricity, etc. etc. etc. up there?"
No cable, sewer, city water (who'd want it??) or natural gas. There's an existing well near the middle of the driveway, though, and I'm not concerned about putting in another well near the new house (you saw the stakes, I assume.) There's GOOD water. Electricity is available at street level. I'm contacting the utility to put in a phone pole on my land, and I'll run electrical from that point up to the field. I need to hire an electrician...
But, yeah, Survivor is me. Or will be, anyway. What's got me the most worried is how to keep the driveway free of snow. It's hard enough for our van (2 wheel drive) to go up. There's no way we can drive down it when it's icy. Even my tractor - which is what will be doing the plowing - will slide down that hill. I'll need chains on the tractor.
Gold is $1,581/oz today. When it hits $2,000, it will be up 26.5%. Let's see how long that takes. - De 3/11/2013 - ANSWER: 7 Years, 5 Months |
