ribit,

she took it to the police station to get rid of it.

as for Trump, he shoots from the hip, always.
I've never seen a candidate for a major party lose so much traction since John Edwards!

Now he says he doesn't even need elected republicans, he'll go it alone. Yup, down in flames...

...ya don't have to take it to the police station. Background check is done via internet connection with authorities. The quickest I have ever been able to buy a gun was around half an hour and that was after deciding on what to get and negotiating a price and I have a carry permit. I don't carry, but I have a permit if I ever decide I want to.

...trumps talking about how there would have been fewer deaths if there had been armed folks in there is nothing more than pandering to folks suffering from thinking they are dirty harry or something. In a situation such as Orlando or San Bernadino where ya know there is shooting going on but ya don't know who is doing it a dozen or so "Armed" folks would work the same way a circular firing squad would work. The only thing more dangerous than one guy with a gun firing indiscriminately in a crowd would be a dozen more shooting back and not knowing who they are shooting or what they are likely to hit by accident. Perhaps armed / trained security folks would help but it's just another thing terrorists or other shooters would have to keep in mind when planning their strike.

...I think having everyone in the establishment armed with samuri swords would be safer.
