...the second amendment provides for citizens to keep and bear arms. The third amendment disalows the gubmint from quartering troops in your home. The second and third amendmenmt are closely related in that they provide the citizenry the tools to oppose or assist a well regulated militia.

Amendment
1. Freedom of speech
2. Right to keep and bear arms
3. No quartering of soldiers in homes
4. No Unreasonable search and seizure.
5. No self incrimination

each of these guarantees the rights of citizens and restricts the power of government. If ya want to change the law then change it. Pretending it isn't there or that it doesn't mean what it says just shows ignorance on the part of the advocates of same.

notice, 'a well regulated Militia', when does the WELL REGULATED start????

The Second Amendment of the United States Constitution reads: "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."
