Survival, Long Term, Short Term, Whatever!
...when this board first started there was a discussion about what type survival (length) we were interested in. To me Long Term Survival would encompass a period of time that would be inclusive of a normal lifespan plus having the ability, means, resources to pass something on to generations to come, starting with your own family, friends and trusted associates.
...short term might be anything from surving an overnight stay in a car stranded in a snowstorm or a few days in a desert environment. Short term would be a matter of surviving in a place where ya expect ya be rescued or ya expect the storm / whatever to lift.
...medium term would be where there is a reasonable expectation that no one was going to rescue you and that the situation isn't going to get any better if ya sit on yer ass and wait on the gubmint to come get ya. (no lefties will survive this stage).
...just filling in some holes here folks. Like to hear your thoughts on the subject as well.
