C ration Boonie Stove
The difference between this and my suggestion is the fuel used.

...this is the fuel we used in them. If this wasn't available ya could use C-4.

The candle won't get it quite as hot, but it will melt snow for drinking and ya can warm a can of soup to a palatable temperature. I wouldn't attempt to turn out an OUTBACK SPECIAL complete with a BLOOMING ONION with either.

I'll try it and report back on how long it takes to heat a can of beans. My guess is that, given that even candles cost something, this isn't a very efficient way of heating things.

Did I ever post the video of how to turn a soda can into an alcohol stove? I even made one and it worked quite well. I'll track that down and re-post it since I'm sure it's not on the system today.
