MSNBC: We’ve Been Waiting to Hear Clinton’s Message for Two Years

BY: Madeleine Weast
Washington Free Beacon

MSNBC’s Morning Joe panel ripped Hillary Clinton’s campaign Tuesday for not having had a clear campaign message for two years.

Co-host Joe Scarborough said Sen. Bernie Sanders (I., Vt.) is not running a political campaign but leading a movement in an effort to change not only the Democratic Party but to change America.

“If he wins in California, then, Mika, that movement continues to take off and then you have to consider Bernie Sanders as your vice president,” Scarborough said.

Co-host Mika Brzezinski added that Sanders’ movement is based on a message, unlike that of Hillary Clinton.

“A movement that’s based on the message, which many argue Hillary Clinton has had a hard time,” Brzezinski said. “For two years, we’ve been asking what is her message.”

Scarborough pointed to a Boston Globe newspaper Brzezinski held up with the headline, “Clinton’s slogan hard to pin down.”

“The headline talks about how Hillary Clinton’s slogan is hard to pin down. She changes them all the time,” Scarborough said.

Scarborough mentioned one of Clinton’s many campaign slogans, “Fighting for us.”

“She doesn’t know what her message is,” Scarborough said. “Not a problem for Bernie Sanders.”

With Sanders still in the fight, Clinton has added extra campaign stops in California for fear of an embarrassing loss in the delegate-heavy state. Clinton won the state in 2008 over Barack Obama. Sanders, despite trailing in the delegate count, is vowing to fight all the way to the Democratic convention for the nomination.
