...a good book on blacksmithing skills might be in order. I doubt there will be any fuel for welding in a TOTAL CRASH scenario. Might not be any if the left decides that welding causes global warming.

I'll have to buy a book. At this point, I don't even know the difference between torch welding and arc welding. I know that torch welding is better, but I don't really know why.
And then, of course, I'll have to buy some equipment. Buy, buy, buy. *sigh* Getting away from a dependence on money ain't cheap!
