If you are using a welding rod,
get a spark and then hold the
rod steady. The weld will follow
the end of the rod. You just keep
the rod tilted. Well, it worked
for me.

I don't know if Ill ever build one, but I'd like to give it a try. It would sure be a load off my mind if I could could just convert wood into electricity directly.

First, though, I *really* need to learn how to weld. How does a person even get started learning that? I don't know...
