Something a little heavier than chicken-wire would be better such as HARDWARE CLOTH which comes in degrees of wire mesh strength and is more rigid. Small squares.

Not expensive but better at keeping chickens and rabbits safe.

I used it for a rabbit hutch I had years gone by...

I'm figuring on making pens. Last I heard, chicken wire should work (until a fox gets in, anyway. But that's what the dogs are there for.)
