Many of the things I've bought are still in their original boxes. That includes the three pairs of snowshoes from Sportsmansguide.
They had snowshoes with magnesium frames. If there's ever a need for a fire while I'm out in the snow, there aren't too many ways that are easier than to scrape magnesium into a pile and then spark it. It not only ignites easily, but it also burns *hot* - so wood that's over it will catch easily.
