"a good Bow saw for tree cutting"

A few years ago, Sportsmansguide had a sale on used Swiss army bow saws. I think they were $4.00 each, in boxes of six. I bought 24. I gave away or sold a bunch of them. I gave one or two to my cousin in NH. I gave one to my sister when she bought a Missouri ranch (20 acres). I think I sold a third of them to my brother. I have three here in VA and the rest are stored up North.

That reminds me: I'll have to start posting pictures of various things I've acquired over the years, or plan to get once I move. Some of them are interesting.

Bow saws (Which are shaped like the letter "D") are THE BEST when it comes to dropping a normal sized tree by hand. They won't work, though, if the radius of the tree is greater than the size of the bow. That's about the only problem I have with them.

Many of my trees are soft wood, and I can down 'em by hand in three or four minutes. If you don't think that's fast, then you probably haven't ever tried sawing sideways while on your hands knees.
