"a good Bow saw for tree cutting"

A few years ago, Sportsmansguide had a sale on used Swiss army bow saws. I think they were $4.00 each, in boxes of six. I bought 24. I gave away or sold a bunch of them. I gave one or two to my cousin in NH. I gave one to my sister when she bought a Missouri ranch (20 acres). I think I sold a third of them to my brother. I have three here in VA and the rest are stored up North.

That reminds me: I'll have to start posting pictures of various things I've acquired over the years, or plan to get once I move. Some of them are interesting.

Bow saws (Which are shaped like the letter "D") are THE BEST when it comes to dropping a normal sized tree by hand. They won't work, though, if the radius of the tree is greater than the size of the bow. That's about the only problem I have with them.

Many of my trees are soft wood, and I can down 'em by hand in three or four minutes. If you don't think that's fast, then you probably haven't ever tried sawing sideways while on your hands knees.

Gold is $1,581/oz today. When it hits $2,000, it will be up 26.5%. Let's see how long that takes. - De 3/11/2013 - ANSWER: 7 Years, 5 Months

My father has one of those hand drills ya has on display there and lots of bits. Actually, a very good thing and item to bring up.

Do need to buy more lighters. I am partial to the ones with LONGER barrels on them so my hands don't get burned by the flame and they can reach farther and into tight places my hand can't.

I have more knives than I can count. Two of those swiss multi tools as well. GREAT CALL on the K-Bar knife ribit!

For the rest of you , in case you do not know, a ka-bar knife is a standard issue Marine knife. Very useful for lots of things....

Got me an axe, an awl, some rope, need more, need more rolls of duct and electrical tape, a good Bow saw for tree cutting, and a few other assorted hand saws.

THIS is a GREAT TOPIC guys!!!! Excellent stuff here!!! Great PICS there Ribit!! I love it!
