Been watching ALONE and have noticed that some of the folks are building shelters that are barely big enough to crawl up into. Jose (one of the contestants) has a shelter that is as big as my living room. He has built a table, a chair and a stove he can cook on without squatting on his haunches like a neanderthal. He stays busy.
The two three folks who have dropped out are the black guy who was in the army. From the way he talked I figured he was good to go, but he punched out before it got dark the first day. In his military career he likely had other people to depend on. Here he didn't.
The second drop out was a woman who nearly cut her thumb off while splitting firewood.
The third was a female who had been in the air force and had been a cop. She saw a bear cub and punched out. It's easy for me to sit in my house with easy access to a deer rifle and criticize her for being in the woods with a horn and a flare and punching out over a bear.
