...just remember, a man with a .22 who isn't too squeamish to eat a rat or a possum has a pretty good chance of survival.
...in addition to the .22 I would recommend ya get a dozen or so lighters to start fires with and a good knife. I have two K-Bar knives. A new one still in the box and an old one I use for everything.
...I also have an entrenching tool, a hand saw, an ax, assorted tarps, bunches of rope in assorted sizes. Another thing that could come in handy is a brace n bit drill.
Ya might be surprised at how strong a shelter you can build by drilling and pegging it together rather than just tying it with rope or string.
Ya might want to get some duct tape too. I dunno what ya could use it for in the woods, but something will come up.
