Maybe a suicide?
Aubrey McClendon, shale pioneer and former Chesapeake CEO, dead after car crash

Police said McClendon’s car veered off center and crashed into a road embankment, with “plenty of opportunity” to correct its course and get back on the roadway, according to police.
The car was going well above the 40 miles-per-hour speed limit on the two-lane highway, police said. The vehicle was “completely burned” and McClendon was its sole occupant.
An investigation, expected to conclude in one to two weeks, will determine if the former CEO was wearing a seat belt and whether he tried to hit the brakes, police said.

A grand jury had indicted McClendon a day earlier on antitrust charges around allegations he had conspired with an unnamed company to keep land-lease rights in Oklahoma low between 2007 and 2012. McClendon had denied the charges and vowed to clear his name.
