What a good thought. Trump disrupts the Obstruction party and makes it possible for a Democratic President to win and then actually to govern, where Congress is no longer cohesive.

Maybe there is hope in this political wasteland.

I get the whole danger thing, short of his reality TV show political campaign we have essentially no evidence for anything, hence the thought experiment. The other part is largely my point ... if the left is cohesive and the right is in shambles and the POTUS is none of the above it seems there is a better chance of progress on the left's agenda than a return to the last 8 years i.e. a DEM in the White House unifies the right, at least enough to be effective at obstruction.
