Let's not forget that Rupert Murdoch has already gone to court when News Corp was sued by two reporters who were fired for refusing to read a story on the air that they knew was false. Murdoch argued that the First Amendment allows even news reporters to knowing lie when reporting a news story therefore he was within his rights to fire the reporters for not following direct orders to lie to their audience. The judge agreed with Murdoch.
