One of my jobs, I care for a 91 yr old woman.
She's in good shape, mobile & in good health. She takes some meds, one is Xanax, 1 pill at night. Helps her sleep. Because she takes this, she needs to see her doctor every 3 months to get a refill!

I think this is a rip off!! Even though her insurance pays for it, its crap like this that drives the costs up... grrrrr

i'm not a fan of single payer but i would like a public option.

given how hard it was to get any change from "free market healthcare", i want obamacare to settle in for a while, improve the rough edges etc.

it would also be nice to add federal bulk purchasing at some point - to put some pressure on pharmaceuticals pricing and suchlike.

at the same time, i am glad they have a revenue model which can be used to generate new drugs. so i am not all in for cost minimisation either.
