i'm not a fan of single payer but i would like a public option.

given how hard it was to get any change from "free market healthcare", i want obamacare to settle in for a while, improve the rough edges etc.

it would also be nice to add federal bulk purchasing at some point - to put some pressure on pharmaceuticals pricing and suchlike.

at the same time, i am glad they have a revenue model which can be used to generate new drugs. so i am not all in for cost minimisation either.

might hasten single payer.

It'd be a rough patch, but the popular aspects will stay e.g. pre-existing, and getting rid of the rest will result in and massive net gain in cost, raise premiums to all massively, throw millions off care etc.\

The second coming would be with a vengence ... single payer.
