Some 30 years ago, some folks were saying SS was broke, would shortly stop paying out $, etc, etc. This "thinking" comes and goes, like viruses; sometimes more noticeable than other times. Did you buy into this back then, and stuck with it - or just revived it when the checks started going into the old bank account. Which BTW, is almost inexplicable - as you yourself are prima facie evidence of the exact opposite of your "thinking".
