There is no relationship whatsoever. So-called Obamacare does NOT provide free anything. Rather it simply provides all citizens the opportunity to get medical coverage either from traditional insurance programs or for those who fall below a certain level in terms of being able to afford it, expanded Medicaid. The only real shortcoming in all of this was the Supreme Court saying that the Medicaid expansion was optional thus allowing Republican-controlled states to withhold benefits from those in our society, who through no fault of their own, need it the most. Our elected officials, at all levels of government, are getting tax-payer provided insurance for them and their families, yet many of them feel that the poorest in our society should be denied those same benefits. If we had true universal health care, there is so much that would be different.
