Damascus is a two-hour drive to Jerusalem.
The Pope is bullshitting with the Patriarch in Havana.
Turkey is bombing Kurdish civilians. Putin wants to run a gas line through Turkey, not go to war with it.

The whole situation is in meltdown.

From Libya to Pakistan, Muhammed-World is in deep heavy duty bullshit. Violence is bred by hopelessness and despair.

I am not as cynical as you ribit. I seriously doubt it has been the policy of the United States to reduce Syria to rubble. Although, Syria is in fact rubble

Obama and Putin will share the blame for Syria.
Europe and Russia and the United States don't want to be fighting another Crusade in the Middle East.
Russia learned more in Afghanistan and Chechnya than we learned in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Obama will turn his back for a moment and end up with a Russian air force base down the coast from incirlik>?

What in God's name is an Alawite and why can't they hang this dentist with piano wire like Mussilini?
