DG,

You have shared many of your life experiences & work history.
Like most of us, you have lived a productive life.
Well done!

On the other hand, YOU always look for the worst in people & paint 'them' as not doing their best. Making it sound as if YOU were the martyr & they take advantage of welfare.
Some do, but most would prefer to be self-supporting, just look at how many work 2 or 3 part time jobs, for minimum wages.

You also give businesses the benefit of the doubt & don't think they should have to pay a fair wage.
You can't have it both ways, either workers are paid a fair wage or they are subsidized by the government with SNAP & Medicaid & other programs.

BT, I once worked nights as a
welder so I could keep my store
open in the daytime and try to
get it going. And no, I am not
a welder by trade. I got dirty
working as a welder's helper to
learn how to weld. You do what
you have got to do.
