If we accept that scenario, surely Trump launches an independent bid. And then Rubio is toast because Trump's voters will vote Trump even if the Pope denounces him. Oh wait ...

and basically giving trump 31% of all states super tuesday, Carson and Kasich each given 5%, the rest given the RCP average with any undelegated balance left over given to Rubio (AND leaving 10% undelegated at the end) gives roughly:

Trump 300, Rubio 200, Cruz 160, Kasich 30, Carson 20, Bush 10 ... roughly.

That is the beginning of a losing convention for Trump. Second ballot sees defection of all of Kasich and Bush to Rubio. Eventually Cruz capitulates. Trump is not a conservative, they must settle on Rubio. Trumps lead is not commanding enough to beat the field.
