Actually the Dred Scott decision was nullified by actions taken during and after the Civil War.

That being said, it's still relevant to this discussion since the Justices of the day ruled that the Constitution, AS WRITTEN, did NOT provide a right for African-Americans to be considered citizens (remember, at the time Native-Americans were not considered citizens either because of how the courts had interpreted the wording of the Constitution).

...no, I am not implying anything. I am asking if the dred scott decision is now rendered inoperative because all those justices are dead. If the right to keep and bear arms goes in the shitter because of the death of one of the justices who supported it, why not dred scott?

...on second thought I am implying that zzfart is unable to apply the same rules to court decisions he likes as to those he does not like. He can't.
