Perhaps when it's revealed as to where the gun used in this tragedy came from and how it ended-up in the hands of one of these two teenage girls, we will have something that the authorities can look into to see if any laws were broken, particularly one's that the police might have been in a position to have done something about. Of course, this being Arizona, an 'open carry' state, there may have been very limited opportunities to prevent this horrible situation from occurring in the first place. After all, when people convince themselves that easy access to firearms, particularly handguns, have no relationship whatsoever to an increase in gun-related deaths, what can we really expect the authorities to have done?
