By the way, clo, for myself I see Sanders in about the same place as FDR on the political spectrum.

Domestically, he's more New Deal/ European mixed economy than pips-squeaking socialist.

Economically-speaking, there's still something to be said for government involvement at this point. Infrastructure remains poor and worth the investment at these interest rates.

There's a reason young people are turning to Bernie. It's because they are inheriting an unusually tough environment. Same old just isn't appealing, regardless of whether you think it is the best way forward.

I think that being president gives you more levers.

But along these lines, even a moderate like Obama can't get anything done with these Republicans. I don't think HRC will have any more luck than O. So on this measure, I don't see much of a difference between Sanders and Clinton.
