Memories Still Fresh On 30th Anniversary Of The Challenger Disaster

"The Challenger crew was pulling us into the future, and we'll continue to follow them," said President Ronald Reagan at the time.

I had just been transferred from SoCal to our Detroit office and it was officially my first day in my new position as the Mid-West regional manager of our pre-sales support team. I was late getting to the office as I had to drop off our two oldest sons for their first day of classes at their new school and it took awhile to make sure that all their paperwork was in order. By the time I finally got to the office everyone was in the break room, where there was a TV set, watching the news reports. At first I thought it was some sort of joke but that was quickly doused when I saw the videos.
