I think Trump is brave in standing up to the ranks of people who seek to stop conversation using a politically-correct, egg-shell-thin framework of over-sensitivity. Ooh. I am SOOO offended. My hyphens are all bent out of shape.

But he kinda explodes beyond that into the territory of actual bigotry.

I guess it takes a bull to destroy the china shop. Maybe we should be grateful that he allows other slightly less bovine, but nevertheless ruminative, folks room to manouevre as well.

it is his stance on immigration which stands out

True, but I think it's also his general lack of, and disdain for "political correctness".
