We could've been coping with 2 FEET of snow.

Storms tracking from the southwest are now making their mark in the Hudson Valley.

Heavy, wind-swept rain is falling throughout the area and is expected to continue throughout the day Sunday.

Some storms during the day will produce heavy downpours. At least 1 inch of rain is expected with up to 2 inches possible.

There will be areas of fog with a high temperature reaching around 60 degrees, which should break records in many spots in the area.

A Coastal Flood Advisory is in effect for the southern part of Westchester. The advisory, which went into effect 9 a.m. Sunday, lasts until 1 p.m. Tides and onshore winds winds will combine to generate flooding of low areas along the shore.

Rain will shift to showers after 4 p.m. Sunday, with the showers expected to taper off around 7 p.m.

The overnight low will hover around the freezing mark with wind chills between 20 and 25 degrees.

The outlook for Monday is for sunny skies with a high between 32 and 34 and wind chills between 20 and 25.

More precipitation, including the possibility of light snow is possible Tuesday. Check back to Daily Voice for updates.
