Michael Moore has every right to be concerned about the welfare of the citizens of Flint, MI, as that's where he was born and raised and he still has family there.
A bit of trivia: Michael Moore was the youngest person, at age 18, to be elected to public office in the United States when he ran for and won a seat on the local school board. This was the first election after the law was changed that lowered the voting age to 18, and which also, for the first time, allowed 18 year olds to run for and hold public office.
